About the Author

C J Dalling writes character-driven urban fantasy set in the streets of Nottingham, a city she knows well enough to know which alleys probably hide magic and which ones just smell iffy.

Inspired by authors like Jim Butcher and Benedict Jacka, she writes stories packed with flawed heroes, sharp dialogue, and the kind of trouble that starts with “this is probably a bad idea” and deteriorates from there.

When she’s not writing, she’s usually reading, drinking too much tea, or trying to work alongside her dog. A devoted but catastrophically ineffective office assistant whose only talents are demanding attention at the worst possible moment and supervising snacks.
